Technical Editor for Microsoft Project(Native English)

The PQO China Content Service Team delivers technical content (Knowledge Base articles) for customers and partners to help them resolve problems when using Microsoft products. We are looking for a technical editor to edit, publish, and maintain online content to ensure that Microsoft publishes the highest quality technical and consumer information in the industry.
In this position, you will be focused on the production of critical, time-sensitive, high-quality technical content by working with internal technical writers, and technical reviewers within the Content Team. The ideal candidate for this position is a native English speaker who has a demonstrated ability to edit content that is correct in all aspects of US Standard English grammar, usage, and punctuation. Knowledge and experience with Microsoft products such as Windows Vista, Microsoft Office, Windows Server 2008, etc is a definite plus.
Responsibilities:
Understand and apply policies and writing standards governing style and presentation of content to maximize accuracy, clarity, quality, consistency, and search engine visibility, while maintaining ease of localization and machine translation. Edit content per Microsoft Manual of Style for Technical Publications (MSTP), Product Support Services style guide, and product-specific style guides, Microsoft legal requirements for content, guidelines for Global English and machine translation, and other guidelines and standards as needed. Edit sentences that follow US Standard English that are free of needless complexity and/or jargon. Sentences should be easily understood even by non-native English speakers. Work in conjunction with other team members to deliver and publish high-value content within targeted SLA goal.

Requirements:
A native English speaker. Two years of work experience in technical editing or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (CS or CSE), with related editing experience. An English major with strong working experience in technical editing will be considered. Working knowledge of personal computer architecture and network architecture. Expert mastery of US Standard English. Strong editing skills in US Standard English. Understanding of technical syntax and terminology.
