JOB SUMMARY:
Design, implemented and maintain an effective third party Quality Management System (QMS) in support of the goal of "Supplying Partnerships for Customer Success".
Foster Operational Excellence by adherence to the company's QMS and initiate continued improvement towards: "Do What We Say, Say What We Do".
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Quality Management System: Continuously review, update and maintain the QMS and monitor its relevance, practicality, effectiveness and the staff's adherence to its policies and procedures. Research best practices in Quality Management and facilitate new and progressive ideas that lead to continuous improvements in efficiency and effectiveness of our QMS.
2. Professionalism and Teamwork: Foster teamwork and professionalism in all we do and build strong working relations with Product Teams to foster Operational Excellence. Provide assistance and support to Product Teams on all quality related documents, samples and procedures including Inspection & Testing activities, FPA, PSS/QAP, ECR, CAP, AOD, PPS, FPS, LIM samples. Put forth a positive "can do" attitude towards our efforts and the efforts of others. Foster a strong team identity, consistency and professionalism for all Quality Assurance personnel in the field.
3. Quality Goals & Performance: Plan, monitor and report the company's quality goals & performance. Drive continuous improvement of the company's quality and operational performance.
4. QA Training: Design, coordinate, publish, continuously improve and lead an effective training program for the Quality Assurance personnel and related Quality Team members including new member training/orientation and ongoing training. Training should include QMS understanding plus practical experience and examination.
5. Product Compliance: Lead company on product compliance issues regarding relevant national and international quality standards & laws and specific customer requirements. Research new regulations, laws and specific customer/retailer requirements related to the company's products and operations and maintain library of applicable regulations. Develop a deep understanding of all such regulations and design practical QMS programs for the company regarding compliance due diligence. Work with third party labs for product tests coordination. Monitor and report the company's operational compliance with SOP on product compliance.
6. Auditing Functions: Perform ongoing internal audits to foster consistency in operations and adherence to QMS and external Factory Capability, Social Compliance, Retailer audits and other external/internal audits as they are needed. Report audit compliance and deviation findings to Managers and Customers. Facilitate the prompt execution of resulting Audit Corrective Action Plans and report progress. Approach all audit activities in a positive manner to foster continuing improvements and recognize achievements in Operational Excellence.
7. QA Test Lab & QAT/PS/PE Equipment: Maintain a professional QA test lab to support Product Teams needs and maintain efficient procedures and equipment that produces reliable results. Ensure QA personnel have adequate QA tools that are regularly calibrated and reliability tested.
Qualifications:
College Degree (Quality related)
Minimum 3-5 year experience in third part inspection environments
Operating and/or auditing experience is preferred in 9001:2000, ISO14000, OHSAS1, PPAP, SA 8000 system, C-TPAT, Six Sigma.
Fluent in Mandarin and English
Skilled in MS Word/Excel/Outlook/Powerpoint
Ability to learn quickly and work without direct supervision; highly detailed and accurate
Willing to travel frequently and be on site in factories daily.
