We are now looking for a Technical Sales Manager to our Sales Asia team within Business Unit Pulp, in Biomaterials division. The place of employment shall be in Shanghai, China.
Position Objective:
Provide technical sales supports and technical customer services for the relevant products through professional technical knowledge and skills as well as technical feedback and industry development trend from the market to the sales leaders and the relevant mills.
Main Responsibilities:
Technical Sales Supports
Be responsible for pre- and post-sale technical customer service and support across multiple sales job families as well as regularly internal technical trainings and update
Be active in technical sales promotion and in providing solutions for the customers and follow up regularly on the pulp performance at the key accounts and proactively identify issues through production data in the systems and take early actions accordingly
Be proactive in advising the customers on how to apply SE pulp based on the pulp properties and the customers’ converting conditions
Acts as a liaison between customers, production and distribution departments related to specific customer orders.
Keep up to date with future trends in the relevant industries and identify customer needs, especially the unmet needs, and convert them into R&D and/or innovation proposal to the sales heads and the relevant mills
Lead technical seminars with customers as well as technical training for the (potential) Customers
Secure product certificate; support mill auditing, product traceability development and other duties as required
Initiate competitors’ quality benchmarking regularly
Claim Handling
Drive the standardization of claim handling processes, including but not limited to quality, quantity, logistics and etc.
Conduct claim investigation as requested, and provide on-site trouble-shooting recommendations when applicable
Provide technical conclusions on the customers’ claims; align the conclusions with relevant sales managers and communicate with the customers accordingly
Support the sales managers to settle claims in a timely fashion and in the least possible compensation amount to the mill
Update the claim information into the internal order handling system
Report on the root causes and action plans of all the claims on a monthly basis

Who are we looking for? Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum 8 years of technical customer service and technical sales working experience in relevant industries, experiences in production background is a plus
Relevant bachelor degree and above
Proven track record and capabilities within sales and customer contacts
Good command of English, both in spoken and written, is a must
Analytical and problem solving skills
Strong communication skills, proactive, self-motivated, team player
Willing to take frequent travels
