Video Editor
The video designer will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining the company’s appearance in collateral, email templates, advertising and website graphics/updates. This person in this role will be required to learn our product lines, understand what each product does, the market each serves and the benefits of each product, in order to design thoughtful, creative and compelling pieces. In addition, this ability to learn our business and audiences are necessary to participate in brainstorming sessions for campaigns and line looks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Key responsibilities
•The Video Editor is responsible for the concept, design, formatting, and execution of video materials under the direction of the art director and marketing director.
•
Edit video courses in Final Cut Pro.
•
Create and place graphics from Motion.
•
Work closely with technical editor to facilitate on-time delivery of professional, cost-effective video courses
•
With art director and marketing directors ensure consistency of the brand image/message.
•
Work with production managers to maintain schedules, manage priorities, maintain high quality standards, and work within budget.
•
Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
•
Maintain confidentiality of themes, directions, pricing, vendors, tactics, and marketing materials.
•
Regular attendance in accordance with schedule.
•
Accuracy and efficient in design file preparation
•
Able to write scripts in adequacy with the wishes of customers

Education and/or Experience
•Bachelor’s degree in telecommunications or video production or related discipline preferred from an accredited university.
•Minimum of two (2) years of business experience in an agency, corporate advertising, or marketing department.
•Excellent communications production work.
•Ability to visualize production scripts and other verbal or written instructions.
•Self-motivated individual who instinctively provides creative inspiration and out-of-the-box thinking.
•Must possess a strong portfolio of work.
•Ability to communicate effectively and make presentations. Contribute to a positive team environment.
•Ability to take direction and work in a creative team environment both independently and when directed, overtime work when needed.
•Multi-tasking ability.

Self-starter, organized and flexible to handle multiple tasks.

Mandarin and English speaking ability is a must.

Must be proficient in Final Cut Pro, colour correction, sound cleaning software and Motion
•

Is well-versed in post-production best practices
•
Manages and enforces deadlines successfully--on time and on budget
•
Helps maintain quality control as production scales
•
Is extremely attentive to detail
•
Possesses a keen visual/aesthetic eye for both text and video
•Works well in a fast-paced, start-up environment
