Chief Technologh Officer(CTO)
Chief Technology Officer(CTO) wanted, based in Shanghai, POS related

JOB PURPOSE:

As a Senior Executive, you will work closely with the CEO to determine the product strategy and product direction of the company.

Direct all product development operations including developing and administering processes and standards to ensure that products are designed/re-designed to meet quality and sales objectives.

Manage all aspects of the product lifecycle from the development phase to mass production, including scheduling, resource management, platform definition, software & hardware development, testing, certifications, and supporting documentation.

Provide reasonable and efficient resources for every design phase to achieve project goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

I. Technical Responsibilities

1. Manage the product requirements process; compiling input from customers, prospects, partners, Sales & Marketing, external market trends and competitors in defining a cohesive set of product requirements that are market-driven.
2. Manage the Product Development team to deliver products that meet customer requirements, pass required certifications and are delivered on-time and within budget.
3. Work closely with Senior Management and Sales & Marketing to analyze potential projects, determine the scope and priorities of projects, and resolve issues that arise with customers.
4. Own the Product Launch process, including defining and tracking schedules, creating and managing the Bill of Materials, prototyping, and other product-related deliverables that will create the complete product.
5. Develop and create illustrations and drawings of new design concepts, new approaches and new product directions in accordance with the divisional product development strategy
6. Make recommendations on determining materials, colors, and surface finish for aesthetic value in cooperation with the product development team
7. Supervise product developers and sourcing to ensure that specifications of designs are accurate and able to be produced.
8. Identify and direct process improvement activities to make high efficiency and quality of the project development, reduce cost of the existing products.
9. Negotiate with consultants, technical personnel, and vendors for services and products to support product development.
10. Manages development and implementation of technical and functional strategies with group.
11. Contributes to and communicates objectives and goals of the team

II. Managerial Responsibilities

1. Recruit and retain quality Product Development Engineering Team.
2. Provide the personal leadership necessary to create harmonious and effective project teams.
3. Set up performance expectations and Perform regular performance reviews.
4. Manage each member's training and growth.
5. Allocate financial, physical and human resources to projects.
6. Insure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
7. Prepare annual and supplemental department budgets and report deviations on a monthly basis.
8. Be responsible for effective communication between the Product Development Dept. and the other departments and customers.
9. Establish administrative procedures and policies of Product Development Department.

Qualifications & Requirements: 
JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.

EXPERIENCE:
At least 8 years in product design and 5 years of technical management experience.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

* Rich knowledge of hardware, software and mechanisms development and integration to manage product development team
* Previous experience developing payment related products
* Preference given to candidates who have working experience related to Point of Sale (POS) implementations and with knowledge of:

1. TECHNICAL SKILLS

* EMVCo, PCI DSS, Pin Transaction Security (PTS) and CUP Security Standards
* ISO 14443, ISO 18092 (Near Field Communication) technology for mobile devices, or other form factors
* IOS, Android Operating Systems
* Payment transaction back office software

2. LANGUAGE SKILLS

* Good English ability in writing and speaking
* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
* Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
* Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

3. REASONING ABILITY

* Excellent Leadership & Management Skills
* Strong ability to learn new technology and tool quickly
