Job Description
- Teach Spoken English or other English language courses
-14 classes per week(each class usually 40 minutes)
-Perform two office hours per week
-This position start from next semester（this September）
Qualifications & Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree or above, Master’s Degree preferred
- Two to three years’ experience of teaching
-Teaching experience in China preferred
- Certificate of ESL or TEFL preferred

Step one
An applicant should submit the following documents to the International Cooperation and Exchange Office of IBS,CTBU:
- Curriculum Vitae(Please specify places and dates when giving details of education and work experience.Marital status and full contact details,eg land-line and mobile numbers, and email and postal addresses are included.)
- Information of Emergency Contact Person
- At least Two Recommendation letters with names and contact information of referees
-Copy of highest academic qualification
- Copy of Passport;
-Digital passport-size photo
-Medical examination record(Physical Exam is required for all applicants.It may be done in China or in their countries.Details of what is required can be obtained from the International Cooperation and Exchange Office.Each page should be stamped and signed,including the applicant’s photo)
- Certificate of Non-criminal Record;
Step two
If approved by International Business School,the applicant should sign and return a scanned copy of a contract sent to them by the International Office,which is needed to apply for a work permit from the Foreign Experts Bureau of Chongqing.
Step three
Upon reception of all the above documents,the International Office will apply for the work permit and an official letter from relevant authorities,a process that will take about one month.Once obtained,the International Office will send these documents to your postal address to help you in your visa application.
Step four
The applicant applies for a work visa from the Chinese consulate or embassy in their own country.Once obtained,you make your flight arrangements and inform the International Office of your arrival date so that we can meet you at Chongqing airport.
Salary and Benefits
- Monthly salary varies according to academic qualification and position:
RMB 4,500 for those with a Bachelor Degree and RMB 6,500 for those with a Master Degree.Classes over 14sessions,if taken, are paid for 100RMB/session.

International Business School of CTBU provides a free apartment for foreign teachers.The apartments are furnished,with a living room,bedroom and bathroom,and equipped with an air conditioner, a refrigerator, a color TV set, water heater,telephone,internet etc.
The International Business School (IBS for short) was established in 2000 as a MOE-accredited joint venture between CTBU and reputable foreign universities. It is the first program of its kind in the southwest region of China. It now serves as a window on CTBU’s globalization effort and as a symbol of its multi-dimensional and multi-level cooperation with its foreign partners.IBS is home to more than 1300 full-time undergraduate students who register in the Sino-Canadian Program (concentrating on Social Economic Management and Economic Management) or in the Sino-French Program (concentrating on Management and Organization Research). The students will have double bachelor degrees conferred upon them after successful completion of domestic and overseas studies.Other students who are not able to spend time abroad in the 4 years of their university study will take up International Economics and Trade,Marketing, Business Administration, French and Accounting. IBS offers overseas students from its partner universities a masters degree program in Chinese Economy and Management. IBS has hosted 20 foreign students in this program so far.
The school boasts a contingent of highly-competent teaching staff who have a good command of French language and who cover a wide range of disciplines. Many teachers can give bi-lingual lectures. They are joined each year by 4 to 6 long-term foreign instructors and more than 10 visiting professors from partner universities. This helps IBS maintain its international color.
IBS graduates can find jobs of their interest in a broad span of businesses and have won a wide reputation due to their sound overall qualifications and wide range of knowledge. Among its 800 alumni,most are assigned with important responsibilities in banks, foreign-funded enterprises, education institutions, and government departments.
