oarding Officer-Ship Chandler(Nature of the work)
When ship calls at a part, she will require the attendance of a ship chandler(boarding officer)to assist in acquisition of various products, spares, supplies and services.
The Boarding Officer interface with ship officer to collect inquiries and request for supplies and services. He acts on the inquiries with the support of his colleagues at the office to fulfill the requirements. He basically help to coordinate anything a ship needs while in port.
Work conditions
As ships more in and out of port 24 hours a day, the boarding officer may be required to work irregular hours, with tight schedules and unanticipated incidents, work can be challenging and stressful, At the same time, exciting and dynamic.
Qualifications & Requirements:
1)English language skills is necessary，Fluent in Chinese.
2)Good communications, negotiation, interpretation skills. Get along well with other.
3)Basic understanding of technical subjects, mechanical, electrical. electronics and chemical
4)Diploma from established institution
