As the number of students increases, we need a few new teachers for the Spring semester (starting on February 25th, 2018)
Job description Chinese nationals can apply but they will be redirected to our Chinese HR Dept.
-----Responsibilities:
*To teach 20 students (max) classes
*Students: 15-18 years old
*Working Times: from Monday to Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM + 2 paid supervision duty in the evening (6:30-9:00PM) every week. Free at weekends.
*A class period is 50 minutes
Open positions (starting on February 25th, 2018): 12 positions
*AP Physics: 2 Positions
AP Chemistry : 2 Positions
*AP Maths: 2 positions
*English, SAT, TOEFL: 3 positions (UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia ONLY)
*Language of Science: 1 position
*History/Civics (American, European, World) (AP+): 2 positions
*Art (Fashion Design +++): 1 position

Qualifications & Requirements:
-----Employment Visa Requirements: PLEASE, READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY, THERE ARE STRICT RULES TO COMPLY WITH IN SUZHOU (JIANGSU PROVINCE) TO OBTAIN A WORK PERMIT.
1-ONLY NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKERS are ALLOWED for subject like English/ESL/SAT/TOEFL etc
2-Bachelors' degree or above. 2+ years of teaching experience in relevant field (Experience starts after graduation only, reference letter(s) needed).
3-Holding a teaching licence or accreditation is a definite plus.
4-Experience with AP programs is also a plus.
5-Good command of English and correct pronunciation required for all non-native speakers (who can only teach subjects other than English). English proficiency will be assessed during the interview.
6-Age: 59 years old maximum (No work permit above 60 y.o)
-----Benefits: On-campus accommodation + FEC/residence permit + Annual flight allowance + private insurance + performance based bonuses. Salary range is 15K to 30K CNY, to be discussed depending on experience, qualifications and length of employment.
Suzhou North America High School (SNA) was cofounded by the Suzhou Wuzhong Group and North Carolina State University in September 2013. SNA accepts both Chinese citizens and non-Chinese citizens. SNA is the first and only international high school developed in partnership with America that has been recognized and approved by the provincial Ministry of Education.
This institute was established with the goal of providing students with the opportunity to attend an authentic international school to develop their global perspective. SNA is actively building relationships with educational institutes around the world to reach this goal. SNA’s current partnerships include North Carolina State University, the William & Ida Friday Institute for Educational Innovation, and Wake STEM Early College High School in Raleigh, North Carolina. These partner institutions collaborate with SNA on curriculum design, student clubs and activities, student and teacher exchange opportunities and teacher training and professional development.
This specially designed campus integrates technology, culture, and education to ensure students are in an ideal learning environment. The new campus is equipped with all the facilities of a modern educational institute, including professional science labs, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, open-concept classrooms, a spacious library and media centre, auditoriums for performances and presentations, Western style dormitories and more, all on a campus of over 16 acres.
SNA’s partner at NC State University’s Friday Institute designed the school’s curriculum to meet the needs of the students and teachers at SNA. The course framework provides the instructional foundations on which teachers and students co-create learning experiences in order for our students to be prepared for matriculation at the world’s top universities.
