Job Description: 


My client, a global aviation MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) solutions provider, is currently seeking a strategically minded Technology Innovation leader. This role involves spearheading cutting-edge initiatives such as drone-assisted inspections, autonomous mobile robots, robotic process automation, and AI/ML solutions tailored to the aerospace MRO sector.


The successful candidate will oversee the entire lifecycle of innovation projects, from research and proof of concept to large-scale deployment, collaborating with research institutes, technology partners, and internal stakeholders to embed advanced technologies into operational workflows.


Responsibilities of the Role:

Analyze global and local technology trends relevant to the aerospace MRO industry and shape a technology landscape aligned with business objectives.
Collaborate with operational units to develop realistic rollout plans, overseeing pilot testing, refinement, and full deployment of innovation initiatives.
Lead cross-functional teams to drive technology projects that deliver measurable business value, including safety, quality, and efficiency improvements.
Foster standardization and adoption of emerging technologies—such as robotics, AI/image recognition, and advanced materials—across the organization.
Act as the primary liaison with executive leadership and operational managers to review, align, and integrate technological advancements into strategic plans.
Represent the organization in external technology forums, research collaborations, and industry consortia to stay ahead of emerging innovations.
Monitor, evaluate, and report on project progress through regular updates to senior leadership and innovation governance bodies.
Conduct market research and proof-of-concept assessments on new technologies, ensuring feasibility before large-scale implementation, and gathering stakeholder feedback for continuous improvement.





Qualifications & Requirements: 
Required Skills for the Role:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, information technology, or related discipline.
Proven work experience leading technology innovation projects, ideally within the aerospace, manufacturing or related technological fields.
Proven success in managing regional or large-scale innovative initiatives, with strong program and project management skills.
Experience working with external vendors, research institutes, or government agencies, particularly in securing funding or patent activities.
Skilled in facilitating technical workshops, and adept at translating complex technological concepts into business strategies.
Strong analytical, communication, and change management capabilities.
Familiarity with agile methodologies like Scrum or DevOps is a plus.
Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), or Agile/DevOps certifications are preferred.
Excellent communication skills, fluency in English, Cantonese and Putonghua.
