Description
We are partnering with a global, highly respected multinational organisation to appoint a China-based senior operations leader to head its APAC end-to-end supply chain and manufacturing platform. Reporting into global leadership, this role carries full regional accountability for manufacturing, supply chain execution and operational strategy across multiple sites in Asia Pacific.
This is a critical leadership appointment, responsible for strengthening operational maturity, enabling sustainable growth and building a high-performing regional organisation. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping long-term operational capability and will be viewed as part of the organisation's future leadership pipeline.
Responsibilities
The appointed leader will own the end-to-end supply chain and manufacturing agenda across APAC, translating global priorities into clear regional execution strategies that support growth, service excellence and cost competitiveness. You will set strategic direction for operations while maintaining close oversight of day-to-day execution across production, logistics, warehousing, transportation and planning.
Working closely with regional commercial and functional leaders, you will ensure strong alignment between business strategy and operational delivery, acting as a key partner in driving major initiatives, capacity planning and long-term investment decisions. A strong focus on manufacturing excellence, productivity improvement and capital deployment will be central to the role, ensuring the platform is well positioned to support future growth.
As the senior regional operations leader, you will build, lead and develop diverse teams across multiple countries, strengthening leadership capability, succession planning and organisational effectiveness. You will champion a strong culture of environmental health & safety, quality and regulatory compliance, ensuring all facilities consistently meet local legal requirements and internal standards.
In parallel, you will establish and drive a common set of performance KPIs, provide clear visibility on operational performance and risks, and lead cross-functional collaboration on key planning processes, including S&OP, customer service performance and OTIF delivery.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an operations executive with an engineering background, who has built their career through manufacturing and supply chain roles before progressing into broader regional leadership positions. The successful candidate will have owned end-to-end supply chain and manufacturing operations across APAC, with full accountability for multi-site operations spanning multiple countries.
You will bring experience gained within large, well-established multinational organisations, operating in complex, matrixed environments, and will be recognised for your ability to lead senior teams, develop talent and build strong succession pipelines. Approximately 20-25 years of professional experience is expected, with clear evidence of high performance and the potential to progress into broader regional or global leadership roles over time.
The role can be based in Beijing (preferred) or Shanghai, and a willingness to travel regionally and engage closely with both site-level and senior stakeholders is required.
