Our merchandising operations are central to ensuring seamless coordination between product development, vendor execution, and customer delivery.
Role Overview
We are seeking a senior merchandising leader to oversee regional merchandising operations across Asia.
You will lead the merchandising team in China and be responsible for setting up and managing a parallel team in Vietnam.
This role requires deep experience in the toy industry, strong cross-border coordination skills, and the ability to manage complex workflows across multiple countries and time zones.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the merchandising operations team in China, overseeing order execution, vendor communication, and production tracking
Set up and manage a parallel merchandising team in the Vietnam office, ensuring consistency in process and performance
Oversee end-to-end order management from development handover to shipment
Monitor production progress and proactively resolve delays or capacity issues
Coordinate closely with internal teams (engineering, QA, compliance, supplier management...etc) to align on timelines and requirements
Manage customer-facing communication on order status, changes, and delivery commitments
Drive process improvements in merchandising workflow, reporting, and vendor responsiveness
Support seasonal planning, capacity allocation, and critical path management
Provide leadership, coaching, and performance oversight to regional merchandising teams
Participate in cross-functional meetings and contribute to strategic sourcing decisions

Qualifications & Requirements:
Ideal Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree preferably in business, supply chain, merchandising, or related discipline
Minimum 15 years of experience in merchandising or sourcing operations, with at least 8 years in a leadership role
Strong background in the toy industry, including both soft and hard toys
Experience in US top toys companies is highly prefer
Experience working with OEM/ODM vendors across China and Southeast Asia
Proven ability to lead cross-border teams and manage regional operations
Familiarity with US toy company operations and customer expectations is a strong advantage
Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
Strong command of merchandising systems, order tracking tools, and reporting platforms
Fluent in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Putonghua)
